Paddington Bear

Paddington bear is a character created by Michael Bond in 1958. He is an immigrant bear from darkest Peru, wearing an old hat and coat. He has a suitcase with a secret compartment and loves marmalade sandwiches. Paddington is endlessly getting into trouble, but is always trying "so hard to get things right".

"Hello" stamp

"Hello" 1st class sheets are interesting and consist of stamps with different labels attached to commemorate various events (philatelic exhibitions etc.).

Elizabeth II stamp

This stamp in orange shows the image of Elizabeth II, the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms, head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations.

Teddy Bear stamp

This stamp originates from 1989 and was issued in a booklet with 4 greeting stamps more.

  1. Paddington was very popular with my children. (And I enjoyed reading them to them in the days before they could read themselves).

    1. I must read this :) His character is similar to mine when I'm turning on the bear inside of me :)) I want to do the good things but erm... they turn out to slightly differ from these planned :)) I am SURE he is my brother. Have already found the stories in Russian, the titles sound great - Wet Story, Paddington and DIY...
